With that being said, it is important to use the correct technique if you have very tight teeth:
- Slide it in, don’t force it, and don’t saw it in. Keep light tension on the floss and pull it between the teeth while sliding in one direction, so it eases through the contact instead of catching.
- Rotate to a fresh section often. Tight contacts put more wear on the fibres, so using a clean, unworn section before the next tooth helps prevent fraying and keeps it gliding smoothly.
If you have one or two spots that are unusually tight (often back molars), it may take a little patience at first, but using the technique above will help it pass through comfortably.

- Internal silicone gasket: A tiny seal inside the dispenser that keeps it tight to the wall and helps block moisture from entering at the top. It’s built to last as long as the dispenser and is not something you replace or throw away. It also does not touch the floss.

How do I install the floss dispenser?

How do I remove the dispenser from the wall?
First up, you don't need to remove the dispenser to refill it. The main body slides upward off the wall-mounted base, so you can easily swap in a fresh spool.
That said, if you're moving house or repositioning it, removal is possible. Fair warning: we use a high-strength adhesive because we want this thing to stay put for years, not fall off after a few weeks. So removal takes a bit of effort, but the steps below will get it done without damaging your wall.
- Slide off the main body by lifting it up and off the base.
- Warm the adhesive with a hair dryer for 30–60 seconds. Heat softens the bond and makes removal much easier.
- Slide the main body back on and twist. Use the body as a lever to slowly twist the base off the wall. The extra grip and leverage makes it much easier than trying to pry the base off by hand.
- Clean up any residue with an adhesive remover. Test it on a hidden spot first to make sure it won't damage your wall or paint.
How do I refill it?
It’s simple. Just slide the dispenser upward to separate it from the wall-mounted base. Place the new floss spool inside, feed the floss through the front hole, and then slide it back onto the base until it clicks into place. You’re good to go.
